HL - Forever (collab)

Spencer was absentminded in their current state, nearly unaware for a moment that Annie had departed until the reminder of her recent texts flash onscreen. It takes a second of hesitation, but they decide to swipe the notifications away. The song winds to a close and moves on to something equally calm.
Then Spencer thinks to ask something. "Flo, um... where do you see yourself when you're old? Professionally or personally, I'm just curious."

Heart Event 2: Spencer and Florian

Florian was caught off guard by the sudden question, not because they didn't know the answer, no they definitely knew that. What caught them off guard was that the question came from Spencer seeing as the ivysaur didn't seem to look toward the future that often. Their hair was already raising a fuss as the thoughts slid through their mind and Florian's answer was quick to follow.
"I plan to still be with you, maybe living together. Otherwise, I think my life as it is will be much the same in the future," they admitted quietly. A touch of color showing on their face as they glanced to the ivysaur and away as they focus more on the song so as not to dwell on their own words.

Spencer wasn't sure what answer they expected. It wasn't like them to dwell on the future, as it was difficult for them to entertain the prospect of even ten to fifteen years from now. One day at a time was the guiding philosophy of the Ivysaur. It was the way they stayed as happy as they were. Why were they compelled to think about this? Perhaps it was the lack of sunlight, the ease at which Florian nearby had left them, the sight of the Mayor and his wife, old and wrinkled, holding each other and dancing. "I..." Spencer waits, long enough for the song to drop into its pre-chorus lull. They didn't know what they wanted. "I would um... I wouldn't mind living together, if you were thinking about that. Sometime." They blink a bit before looking up at Florian, missing their glance down at them by a hair.   "I want to be there for you. For as long as I can. However long that is, I want... I want you to be happy."

HHH THESE KIDS, they make us suffer so! Why must they be like this?
