Description

COMMENTS ARE DISABLED UNTIL THE GROUP ACCEPTS MEMBERS

:iconglitch-republic:

This map of Glitch Republic only displays notable locations and apartments. Privately owned establishments are welcome, but they will not be displayed on this map. The map is split into four districts; The Capitol District in the northeast, the Mercantile District in the southeast, the Opus District in the southwest, and the Innovation District in the northwest. The Republic Map is interactive, and will change as group members make transactions and donate to town improvement projects.

CURRENT MAP LEVEL: 1/5

When a certain number of expansion/improvement projects are completed, the map will level up. This will be indicated by the map taking on the appearance of a newer generation Pokemon game. The map is currently at Lv1.

:new:RESIDENTIALITY RULES

:bulletblack: All new members start out in an apartment. You many live in any district except for the Capitol District, which is reserved for the Republic staff. Comment on this journal to pick a district.

:bulletblack: Your character may choose to have a roomate, but both you and the owner of the other character should agree to it.

:bulletblack: Once you earn 550 bits, you may purchase a house. This house does not have to be in the same district as your apartment. Comment on this journal to buy a house.

:bulletblack: When buying a house you may pick any spot on the grid that is not occupied by road, trees, or a notable location, even if someone else wants to live in the same spot on the grid. You must provide exact coordinates; a dot will represent your house.

:bulletblack: You may relocate your house if you wish, but it will cost another 500 bits to do so.

NOTABLE LOCATIONS

:bulletblack:(6,8) - The Capitol Building - The Capitol Building is the largest building in the Republic, and is the executive center of the city. President Missingno., Secretary Tallulah, and other notable employees live in the main building. The rest of the Republic Staff, including Sector Heads Justinian and Charlemagne, live in the apartments just outside the Capitol. The Capitol is well protected but is fairly easy for citizens to access, and it isn’t uncommon for President Missingno. to open the doors to the Capitol when addressing a complaint or concern.

:bulletblack:(-12,6) and (-9,8) - Johanne Labs (Republic Research facility) - Beneath the comfortable exterior of the research buildings lies a labyrinthine network of research labs and resource centers. The buildings are split by the kind of work done in them. The northernmost building is dedicated to biology, chemistry and the study of wild Glitches, and the southernmost building is dedicated to the physics, programming, and computer sciences. Sector Head Juvenal Johanne lives in a house in the Innovation District very close to the labs.

:bulletblack:(-7,-2) The Republic Library - The seemingly modest Republic Library is actually home to quite the impressive collection of books. It has two sections, fiction and nonfiction, and has a simple cataloging system for easy retrieval. It also has a book drive for citizens to donate their unwanted books. Sector Head Margot Pendleton lives in a house in the Opus District very close to the library.

:bulletblack:(-12,-8) Cobalt Caverns - A corrupt version of the Seafoam Islands’ data, the Cobalt Caverns are a permanent and unremovable set of caves that hold unknown treasures and horrors inside. These mysterious caves are actually very easy to find, being just a short surf south from the library. The trick is finding the entrance, as no one, not even President Missingno., has succeeded yet. Rumors say the entrance moves to a different location every day, but no one can know for sure.

:bulletblack:(4,-2) Pokemon Center - The Pokemon center is the primary medical center of the Republic, and while the establishment is quite simple, it offers nothing less than state-of-the-art medical, emergency, and post-battle care. The Pokemon center is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

:bulletblack:(9,-5) Berry Farm - The Berry Farm is something of a local attraction. Sector Head Ursula Snow grows berries for a living, and often breeds special kinds of berries during town events. During events the special berries are usually free, but the farm is open every day, and berries can be purchased for modest prices that vary base on rarity.

:bulletblack:(12,1) The Pokemart - The Republic Pokemart has all the basic supplies a Pokemon would need. From basic medicines to repels to stationary, The Pokemart staff is eager to provide you what you come to buy. However, for all the grandeur the department-store exterior suggests, the Pokemart only sells items on the ground floor. New, specialized items will occur as the Republic grows.

Well, since I'm part of the group now...

Kipper would like to live in the Innovation District! :D
Just to be the odd one out, hehehe.
